Functional outcome: Handle a short social exchange: greeting, clarification, location, order, and plan.
This is a beginner-controlled Eastern Armenian lesson, not a proficiency guarantee. Read the Armenian first; the phonetic cues are approximate aids, not IPA or native-speaker validation.

Read for meaning first. Then cover the English and try the exchange.
| Speaker | Armenian | Meaning | Approximate cue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visitor | Բարև։ Մետրոն որտե՞ղ է։ | Hello. Where is the metro? | ba-REV. me-TRON vor-TEGH e? |
| Local | Շատ մոտ է, աջ կողմում։ | It is very near, on the right. | shat mot e, aj kogh-MOOM. |
| Visitor | Շնորհակալություն։ Կարո՞ղ եք դանդաղ խոսել։ | Thank you. Could you speak slowly? | shə-nor-ha-ka-loo-T'YOON. ka-ROGH ek' dan-DAGH kho-SEL? |
| Local | Այո։ | Yes. | a-YO. |
| Visitor | Լավ, ցտեսություն։ | Okay, goodbye. | lav, ts'te-soo-T'YOON. |
Do an integrated role-play with a real outcome: greet; ask where the metro is; ask for help or repetition; order water; arrange coffee tomorrow. If a line breaks down, use Չեմ հասկանում + Կրկնեք, խնդրում եմ, then restart from the last successful line.
Make your first attempt without copying the dialogue. If one phrase fails, isolate that phrase, compare it with the Learn table, say/write it once in a new context, then repeat the whole task. Do not mark it “known” merely because it was visible.
Before the next lesson, reuse one earlier greeting, one courtesy phrase, and one previous task phrase in a new two-line exchange.
