Functional outcome: Ask where a place is and understand a short direction.
This is a beginner-controlled Eastern Armenian lesson, not a proficiency guarantee. Read the Armenian first; the phonetic cues are approximate aids, not IPA or native-speaker validation.

Որտե՞ղ է X asks “Where is X?” Armenian often places the question word first. է is the third-person “is.”
Read for meaning first. Then cover the English and try the exchange.

| Traveler | Կներեք, մետրոն որտե՞ղ է։ | Excuse me, where is the metro? | kə-ne-REK', me-TRON vor-TEGH e? |
| Local | Այնտեղ է։ | It is there. | ayn-TEGH e. |
| Traveler | Աջ կողմո՞ւմ։ | On the right? | aj kogh-MOOM? |
| Local | Այո, աջ կողմում։ | Yes, on the right. | a-YO, aj kogh-MOOM. |
| Traveler | Շնորհակալություն։ | Thank you. | shə-nor-ha-ka-loo-T'YOON. |
Use a map, real or imagined: ask for the metro or center, then respond with a one-phrase direction. Reuse կներեք / շնորհակալություն and request repetition if needed.
Make your first attempt without copying the dialogue. If one phrase fails, isolate that phrase, compare it with the Learn table, say/write it once in a new context, then repeat the whole task. Do not mark it “known” merely because it was visible.
Before the next lesson, reuse one earlier greeting, one courtesy phrase, and one previous task phrase in a new two-line exchange.
