Functional outcome: Order a basic drink or food item and ask for the bill.
This is a beginner-controlled Eastern Armenian lesson, not a proficiency guarantee. Read the Armenian first; the phonetic cues are approximate aids, not IPA or native-speaker validation.

For “I want X,” use Ես + X + եմ ուզում. Here ես is yes, and եմ is em. Առանց means “without.”
Read for meaning first. Then cover the English and try the exchange.
| Speaker | Armenian | Meaning | Approximate cue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer | Բարև։ Թեյ, խնդրում եմ։ | Hello. Tea, please. | ba-REV. t'ey, khən-DROOM em. |
| Server | Շաքարո՞վ։ | With sugar? | sha-k'a-ROV? |
| Customer | Ոչ, առանց շաքարի։ | No, without sugar. | voch', a-RRANTS' sha-k'a-REE. |

Role-play a café order: greet, order one item, state a preference, and ask for the bill. If you get stuck, use Խնդրում եմ or Չեմ հասկանում from Lesson 2, then retry the full order.
Make your first attempt without copying the dialogue. If one phrase fails, isolate that phrase, compare it with the Learn table, say/write it once in a new context, then repeat the whole task. Do not mark it “known” merely because it was visible.
Before the next lesson, reuse one earlier greeting, one courtesy phrase, and one previous task phrase in a new two-line exchange.
